This means two people with similar imaging findings may report very different symptoms. Treatment Depends on the Type of Arthritis

Because arthritis has many causes, there is no universal treatment plan.

Controlling the disease process

Inflammatory autoimmune arthritis may require disease-modifying medications that suppress or regulate immune activity. These treatments aim to control inflammation, reduce symptoms, limit damage, and move the disease toward remission or low activity. Rheumatoid arthritis treatment may also include physical therapy, occupational therapy, surgery, and routine monitoring.

Useful strategies may include:
